Crowd control officers (formerly known as 'bouncers') work primarily on licensed premises such as Hotels, Clubs and sporting and other special events. This course provides you with all of the basic knowledge required to commence work as a crowd control officer and includes how to monitor crowds and protect people and property within licensed premises and how to manage conflict and deal effectively with intoxicated people. The course covers all of the mandatory entry level requirements for a Class 1C security guard and is a mandatory requirement for new entrants to the industry.

At the end of this course you will be eligible to apply for a Provisional Licence Class 1C and will be able to commence work. Once you receive your Provisional Licence you have 12 months to complete the additional training required for an unrestricted 1C licence.

PREREQUISITE

• You must be over 18 years of age, have a good level of spoken and written English skills and have had no criminal convictions in the past 10 years. You must also have completed the Pre Licence Class 1A course of 62 hours.
