The Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) sets out the standards for the processes for RPL and those that the RTO relies on its credibility and continued accreditation.
What is an RPL? RPL is an assessment process that assesses each individual's formal and informal learning to determine the extent to which that individual has achieved the required learning outcomes. Why choose SECTA for your RPL Program? SECTA provides an RPL kit which is endorsed by the Department of Education. SECTA provides a literacy test which is a mandatory requirement for any security guard attempting an RPL program. SECTA provides an assessment interview for each security guard which is also considered mandatory by the Department of Education. Remember: An RPL is a process whereby the security guard collects sufficient documentary evidence from both the workplace as well as previous training, in order to satisfy an assessor that they are competent in all the units of competency required for a Certificate II or Certificate III in Security Operations. Once the guard has the required evidence then they must meet with an assessor for a one on one interview (Duration: approximately 1 hour) An RPL is not a training course. SECTA can organise an RPL program if you require an upgrade in your qualifications to either a Certificate II in Security Operations, Certificate III in Security or Certificate IV in Security Risk Management. Target Audience: Any person who has worked previously or is still working within the security industry and has worked in one of the following areas: Control room operator, Alarm response, Static patrol, Loss prevention, Concierge, Bodyguard, Ranger, Bouncer, Crowd controller, Dog handler, Airport security and Security Risk Management.
