The SECTA RCG Course is fully accredited and recognised by the Liquor Administration Board and VETAB. The Gambling Legislation Amendment (Responsible Gambling) Act 1999 and other regulations aim to ensure that registered clubs and hotels adopt responsible practices for gambling activities conducted on their premises. The Club's and Hotel’s responsible gambling practices recognise the majority of those patrons who participate in gambling do so as a pleasurable activity but for some, gambling causes problems. The Responsible Conduct of Gambling program has been developed to provide recognition and understanding of community issues relating to gambling. Legislation now requires all people working in gaming areas of hotels and registered clubs to complete an approved course in order to continue employment. Potential employees must complete the RCG course prior to the commencement of working in gaming areas of Clubs and Hotels. Target Audience: All permanent and casual staff members involved in the conduct of gaming machines. Liquor licensees and club secretaries involved with gaming machines Objectives: Teaching the NSW Governments harm minimization program and benefits of adopting a responsible attitude to the conduct of gambling.
