The Responsible Service of Alcohol course was introduced by the Department of Gaming and Racing in October 1996.The RSA course is a theory based course with a Certificate issued on successful completion of the course. All Participants will receive an RSA course manual. Target Audience: All permanent and casual staff members involved in the sale, supply or service of liquor in licensed venues. Liquor licensees and club secretaries. Any other person involved in the sale, supply or service of liquor in licensed venues. This includes club directors and volunteers serving liquor under temporary or permanent function licences. Under new Regulations, security officers engaged near licensed premises who perform crowd control or doorperson activities must have completed Liquor Administration Board-approved RSA training from March 1st, 2005.
